Better than Cheddar Kale Chips

So while overseas I fell in LOVE with some organic ‘better than cheddar’ kale chips, that I just HAD to make them myself. I must say I am pretty impressed with the result. Here they are:


* 1 cup sunflower seeds
* 1 cup red bell pepper
* 1/3 cup nutritional yeast
* 1/3-1/2 cup water
* squeeze lemon juice
* 2 tsp onion powder
* 1 tsp garlic powder
* 1 tsp turmeric
* Optional salt
* 1 bunch of kale


1. Blend the above ingredients, except the kale in a food processor

kale chips, mixture, better than cheddar, vegan, plant based,
2. Wash the kale and break into bite sized leaves, removing the stem
3. Place the kale in a large mixing bowl
4. Coat the kale in the mixture
5. Place in a food dehydrator on 70 degrees Celsius for 4 hours (our until crisp). You can also use an oven at 70 degrees on baking trays
